In locks, the latch is used to keep the door closed. It is pressed into the recess in the forend by the spring when the door is pulled shut.
However, this also means that once the latch has fallen into the lock, the key must be used again to open it.
secured latch locking
In order to have a permanent opening function for doors with public traffic, such as shop entrance doors, in schools or retirement homes, locks with a secure latch locking mechanism are used for this purpose. With the appropriate setting, these allow unhindered access without the use of a key.
Attention: secured latch locking is not permitted for smoke and fire doors!

for non-self-locking locks
The latch is set for non-self-locking locks according to the following procedure:
generate latch locking a) Retract and hold the latch by alternately operating it with the key b) Press the operating button on the forend in as far as it will go c) Hold the actuating button while ending the changeover operation
cancel latch locking d) Repeat changeover operation with the key, actuating knob must move to starting position
Latch locking
for self-locking and InterLock locks
The latch is set for self-locking and InterLock locks according to the following procedure:
generate latch locking Pull back the latch with the door handle or push it back by hand and fix it by turning the key in the locking direction.
cancel latch locking The latch is released using the changeover operation with the key.
